What would you add to this list? Or would you take away from it?
After making this I metaphorically head slapped myself: How the heck did I forget Kula Cloth?! That is a product I ALWAYS have with me, even when not on an adventure. Who wants to drip dry? Not me.
What are your favorite things to do outdoors during the winter?
You can find all of these products in the LUE Outdoors Store, and most on the website as well.
Where did the last 2 months go?!
Things got a little crazier for us during the holiday season: We all landed up with Coronavirus December 22nd, and did not test negative until the second week of January. (ugh lol) First 5 days were HELL for me (almost landed in hospital), but then it was like a common cold. I got it the worst out of our house, but we knew that would most likely happen due to the health conditions I live with.
Anyhoo, at this point, of course, the Bluebird Market was finally ready to open January 14th (a four month delayed opening due to construction and permits), but now we are running behind - figures lol We hustled and opened Friday, January 28th, 2022. ....Things have been very slow, to say the least. (ugh and lol at the same time) And we are unfortunately butting heads with the management and corp that runs & owns the Bluebird Market; Before we signed the lease, we were assured some things would happen, but guess what, they have not happened. As well they omitted vital information before we signed the lease. Sooooooo, because of this, we are already looking for another space for a LUE Outdoors Store (another ugh and lol at the same time), but we are staying put until we find the "perfect" space.
Even though the Struggle Bus has been parked here for a hot minute,
Maybe it is just my experience, but I find it much easier to shop for a kid who loves outdoor adventures than one that does not.
I find they are easier to shop for because they like the same stuff I do. (lol) And us gear junkies always love getting new toys for our next adventure(s).
Kids who love snowboarding = snowboard gear/winter neccessities.
Kids who love camping = camping gear.
Kids who love hiking = hiking gear.
And so on.

Sometimes it is someone elses great idea that inspires you.
We had been thinking about our next "Gift Guide" idea when Pupups shared their blog post with us, Fabulous Holiday Gifts for Fido and Friends 2021. >> This gave us the idea to do,
Gift Ideas for Human & Fur Babies.
Some of us have human children, some furry, and some have both. If you are one of those, and also love spoiling your kiddo(s), take a look at these ideas.
Pupups believes in spreading a little happiness wherever they go.

Time for a Walk-e-Wooo! All-original, fun doggie style. We print our bold designs on a unique canvas that is soft, yet super durable, fade and water-resistant (not to be confused with flimsy ribbon look-alikes). Always guaranteed 100% (yup, even if chewed:).
T's Tonics Products were not originally meant to be for dogs, but they work great for dogs!
We use the Grab Salve, Arnica Stick, and Sunscreen on our fur babies. They both have sensitive skin, and thin fur, so protecting their skin can prove difficult as products make their skin break out in rashes. No issues like that when we use T's Tonics products on them.
Kurgo Dog Products
Everything we do can be summed up with one word: Go. Our products are designed to make it easier than ever to go wherever you want, with the one companion you always want by your side. ~ Kurgo
"It all started with a pushy dog named Zelda."
Kurgo founders and brothers, Kitter and Gordie Spater, grew up exploring the woods in Vermont along with the family dogs.
The brand’s inspiration is credited to Kitter’s dog, Zelda: Zelda had a dangerous habit of jumping into the front seat during car rides. After one too many close calls, Kitter built the first prototype of what would later become the Backseat Barrier in his garage.
Gear fido out this holiday season:
Kurgo has everything you need!

Ruffwear is well known in the dog community as a leader in dog gear: For over two decades now they have been producing top notch products for dogs, as well are eco-friendly, do-gooders, that give back to their community.
Our personal experience with their products have been incredible: The products are fantastic! The Gnawt-A-Rock toy we got our dogs years ago looks as though we bought it only a month ago. And the harnesses held up well: We were very happy with them overall.

We are a family owned and operated company that takes retired climbing ropes and turns them into dog leashes. We are a family who has always loved the outdoors, but especially rock climbing. As every rock climber can attest, you end up with a lot of rope. Our old retired ropes used to just sit in a closet collecting dust. We were unable to use them, but it never seemed right to just throw them away. After getting our own four-legged friends the idea seemed too simple... Recycle our old ropes into leashes. Our goal is simple: Walk our dogs as well as keep trash out of the landfills! ~ Ruff and Tuff Lmtd, Colorado
We will be carrying Ruff and Tuff Products in store at Bluebird Market.
We believe in doing right by our dogs. That’s why we make treats that dogs go crazy for while also nourishing their body for the long run. We use only human-grade ingredients, and focus on sustainable, organic proteins and produce from our local farmers. Our dogs are our family and we want them to live long, healthy, happy lives by our side.
We will be carrying Winnie Lou Treats in store at the Bluebird Market.
At SodaPup we specialize in creating fun and innovative dog toys for dogs that destroy everything! All of our products are made in the USA and are FDA compliant, meaning they are the safest dog toys in the market today. ~ SodaPup, Colorado
We will be carrying SodaPup in store at the Bluebird Market.
When I was looking for a cappucinno recipe I found out today is actually National Cappuccino Day; Swear everything has a day now. <lol> But it got me thinking about other hot drinks, especially since my son just pointed out how cold it is getting out there right now. So here we are now, sharing a couple of drink recipes for chilly days.
You Do Not Need Starbucks or a Fancy Machine to make Yummy Coffee Drinks, Promise.
Since a search for a Cappuccino Recipe brought us here, let us start with this recipe that I found on Food.com; We love it for its simplicity, and it tastes good, so we only adjusted it a little - the biggest adjustment being we recommend using Alpine Start Instant Coffee for this Cappucino Recipe.
If using Alpine Start Instant Coffee I recommend using the jars: We are subbing for espresso, so the strength of the coffee will require more than one single serve pack.
Cappuccino's are techincally supposed to be Espresso, but since this recipe is meant for people without fancy machines, Strong Brewed Coffee it is.
HOT DRINK PRO-TIP: Use an Insulated Cup, like the EcoVessel Transit, to keep your drink warmer longer.
The Basic Neccessities:
Perfect for Stocking Stuffers or
Putting Together a Gift Basket
Let us start with Kula Cloth.
Kula Cloth is a Pee Cloth.
What the heck is a Pee Cloth?
No More Drip Dry on trails! Think of it as reusable toilet paper.
Note: It is not meant for #2 >> You would have to wash the crap out of it - literally & metaphorically.
They are not only great for adventures, but I keep one in my "purse" for the times the public restroom is out of toilet paper.
