LUE Outdoors 2021 Holiday Gift Guide

I know you probably have a ton of ideas of your own, but these are some of the items we think you should consider this holiday gift giving season.
You Ready? ;-) I am going to start with gifts for people who do a lot of multiple day adventures: Camping, Thru Hikes, Sectional Hikes, Backpacking, and the like. The basics that people generally do not think about until it comes time to fit everything in your pack.

Multiple Day Adventures Require A Little Something Extra

than a Day Trip Does.

Now, of course we are partial, but we would recommend these products whether or not we carried them or partnered with the companies - we hand pick the companies and products after all; Companies/The Products we think are the best. And yes, there are affiliate links in here.
The Basic Neccessities:
Perfect for Stocking Stuffers or
Putting Together a Gift Basket
Let us start with Kula Cloth.
Kula Cloth is a Pee Cloth.
What the heck is a Pee Cloth?
No More Drip Dry on trails! Think of it as reusable toilet paper.
Note: It is not meant for #2 >> You would have to wash the crap out of it - literally & metaphorically.
They are not only great for adventures, but I keep one in my "purse" for the times the public restroom is out of toilet paper.
Kula Cloth are made of Anti Microbial Fabric, so you can (do not cringe) use it a couple of times before washing it. As well, the outside layer of fabric is waterproof, so you do not have to worry about hands getting wet.  At the end of an adventure day, just wash it with soap and water, and then let it air dry.
Soap leads us into the next product, RedBud Suds.
RedBud Suds are All Natural Soap Bars that are totally safe for outdoors use, and they come in a great "scrubby" like bag.
These soap bars are perfect not only for bathing, but for cleaning up also. The bag the bars are in is perfect for scrubbing off after a day in nature, doing camp dishes, cleaning your Kula Cloth, and cleaning pretty much anything. Also great for cleaning off wounds that can happen during adventures.
After you clean up your wound with a RedBud Suds Soap Bar, grab some Active Skin Repair and Patch 100% Biodegradable Bandaids.

Patch 100% Biodegradable Bandaids are not only super eco friendly, we have found they hold up really well, stay on, but come off without needing the 1-2-3-Tear method, which we obviously appreciate. <lol>
Active Skin Repair is AWESOME! Active Skin Repair Spray is a medical-grade treatment for everyday wound care and skin repair, and it is extremely effective. I can tell you from personal experience, wound healing time is cut down drastically, and you do not need Neosporin (like products) if you use Active Skin Repair. But, even though you do not need a product like Neosporin, I do like using T's Tonics Balm Sticks in combination with the Active Skin Repair Spray.
"You’ll be set to stay healthy outdoors with these balms. Grab Salve is your all purpose balm to grab for dry skin, lips, heels, burns, rashes, wounds. Arnica Balm is ready for your sore muscles, bumps, bruises and accidents. And Breathe Better Balm keeps your airways clear and lungs going strong." - T's Tonics (We also use the Grab Salve when our dogs get rashes, hot spots, cracked pads or noses, and more. T's Tonics Products are 100% All Natural.)
We also recommend T's Tonics Sunscreen, Sun Soother, and Anti-Itch Spray. All great things to have when spending time outdoors (in the sun). We have found them to be very effective products, they smell good, and they make your skin feel & look good - all natural moisturizers.
A great product that goes along with T's Tonics is Aunt Fannies 100% All Natural & Deet Free Mosquito Repellent. They have two options in this product: Spray and Wipes. It is better to avoid as many bites as you can so you hopefully do not need too much of the T's Tonics Anti Itch Spray. (But you still want that anti-itch spray as there are always some little pests that manage to get ya.)
I do not know about you, but there are two things I do not like:
Camp Mouth
Camp Ears
You are probably sitting there going, "What the heck is she talking about?!" <lol>
Camp Mouth: Between dry mouth, dirt - you know you have landed up with dirt in your mouth before, a day of eating camp food - and for many, some beers or drinks, plus wonderful morning breath: no one likes any of these. Another pain about brushing your teeth on adventures is when your tube of paste manages to leak, and (depending on the tube) the space it takes in your pack. Change Toothpaste Tablets eleminate those issues, and are extremely Eco Friendly. The Toothpaste Tablets are 100% All Natural, and the bag they come in is 100% Biodegradable. No worrying about toothpaste all over, they take up less space (in our opinion); if you accidentally loose the pack somewhere on your adventure, you know you are not leaving something that will take yeeeeeeeeeeeeeears to biodegrade, if it ever does. Those little tins with screw on lids you can find everywhere now are great if you do not want to carry the bag the tablets come in.
Change also offers Biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrushes - We love them! Again, if you happen to loose it along the way, you know you are not leaving plastics around the wilderness. Plus they have a great, soft bristle, brush.
Camp Ears: Dirt. Plain & Simple. And I cannot stand that! <lol> Definitely do not want to have to pack in & out a bunch of Q Tips, or leave a trail of them along the way. LastSwab eliminates these problems. >> An Eco Friendly Reusable Swab. Just wash it off after using it, and then put it back in its handy little (travel) case. LastSwab is also great for a 1st Aid Kit. My son loves them so much he uses his LastSwab not only on adventures, but at home; he likes them better than a Qtip (like product). The company that makes LastSwab is LastObject; They also makes reusable tissues among other reusable products.

Prezzies for Gear Junkies

I put together a photo gallery with captions for this section as there are a lot of companies & products I know we love, so if I talked in detail about each one we would be here for days. <lol>
These products are great gifts individually, but they are also perfect for putting together a gift basket/bag.
Idea: Use a Backpack as a Gift Bag and fill with goodies for your Gear Junkie Loved One(s).
Backpack, Hammock, Hydration (bladder, bottle, or both), plus products from the Multiple Day Adventure Section - like Sunscreen, Mosquito Repellent, and a Kula Cloth. Add some snacks from the Trail Food Section below, and a T Shirt from the Clothing Section below, and Voila! You have an awesome Gear Junkie Gift "Bag".
Bonus: LARQ Self Filtering & Cleaning Water Bottles - From November 22 - Nov 29, Buy 1 Bottle Get 15% off, Buy 2 get 25% off, Buy 3+ get 35% off, (Excludes sets and subscription). For any LARQ Pitcher purchase with no subscription - 15% off, with subscription - 30% off = KILLER Deals!!

Trail Food

Whether a snack on the trail or dinner for a camping trip, these products make great Stocking Stuffers as well are perfect for a Gift Bag or Gift Basket - like we mentioned above.

If you cannot tell by how many time they are mentioned here,

We Are Big Fans Of Gift Bags & Baskets

Why? To be honest, I cannot really nail down the reason. Maybe it is partly because I struggle with only choosing one thing for someone. Partly my creative side, and partly I feel like they put a really big smile on peoples faces. They are more fun all around. (Pssst I also LOVE Stuffing Stockings, and the multi-day gift suggestions at the beginning of this post are perfect stocking stuffers for anybody!)
When choosing what to put in a Gift Bag or Basket I usually choose from varying categories that fall under one interest - a theme. For some examples of interests: Camping, Hiking, Fishing, Rafting, Biking, Snowboarding, and Road Trips. Next I think about what I might want <lol> but mainly the type of personality the person I am buying for has, their age, as well I consider how the individual identifies.
You do not have to go huge! When people think of Gift Baskets they often think of those ridiculously big ones with the huge bows and the crazy decorations. That is totally unnecesary, and is very wasteful. That is one of the reasons I like using Backpacks and Reusable Bags (including dry bags) as Gift Bags. For Gift Baskets you can use Water Proof Containers that lock & seal, like food containers, bear proof containers, or containers for river rats. Heck, even a small camping port-a-potty works: fill it with eco friendly & minimalist basic necessities (like the products we shared in the Multiple Day Trip Section above).
No matter what you do, it is the thought that counts.

What Ideas Do You Have?

Please share your ideas with us. There are so many possibilities out there, I would love to know what you suggest.

I plan to share more after we open the store in Bluebird Market, Silverthorne, Colorado.
Until the next time we meet, we hope you have a happy holiday season! Halloween is the day we consider the beginning of the holiday season. <wink> Speaking of, do you plan to dress up and celebrate? Have fun out there! But please be safe. xoxo
